This Dissemination tour aims to promote the consortium created within the Life-Food.Waste.StandUP Project, to the European Food Banks through a series of conferences held by the employees of Fondazione Banco Alimentare Onlus.
Through the collaboration of FEBA (European Federation of Food Banks), Fondazione Banco Alimentare Onlus has today made conferences in the Slovenia, Greece, Malta and Ireland, finding a great interest both of the local Food Bank organizations and of the food sector stakeholders in those countries.
Unlike the events in Slovenia, Greece and Malta, the "Dissemination tour" conference in Ireland, was not organized directly by the Food Banks involved. The dissemination of the LIFE-Food.Waste.StandUP Project took place at the "Third National Forum on Food Waste" organized by the Irish Environmental Protection Agency, in collaboration with Food Cloud.
The event, entitled "Measuring what matters", took place on 10 July 2019 and saw the participation of Richard Bruton, Minister of Communications, Climate Action & Environment, for the opening and for speaking at the Conference :
Odile Le Bolloch (EPA), Shane Colgan (EPA), Iain Cluine (Zero waste Scotland), Chad Frishmann (Project Drawdown), Christopher Hill (Food Cloud), Vincenzo Palumbo (Fondazione Banco Alimentare Onlus).
Representatives of NGOs, consumers, food donors and policy makers attended the conference.
